Departure: Models and Drawings will be on exhibition in Randolph-Macon
College’s Flippo Gallery from Friday, April 9 through Friday, June 4, 2010. The
exhibition features the work of four artists whose sculptural work is created on
a large scale. The exhibition focuses on the processes by which each artist arrives
at a “completed” vision including models, drawings and prints. The Flippo Gallery
is located in Pace-Armistead Hall.
Artists included in the exhibition are Kendall Buster, Jack Wax, Soo Sunny Park
and Tara Donovan. Soo Sunny Park will create a site-specific installation for this
A reception, which is free and open to the public, is scheduled for Saturday,
May 1 from 11:00 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. Gallery hours are Monday-Friday,
