Young Alumni Board and Goals return to YAA homepage

The Young Alumni Board seeks to create networking and social interaction for recent graduates and current students by bringing them together in a variety of settings. The activities we seek to provide continue the Randolph-Macon experience past graduation and offers graduates one more way to give back to the College. My goal is to expand the opportunities available and to increase participation so that the interaction between current and former students will be a continuous cycle. As current students graduate, they will serve as alumni giving back to the College and be role models to current students thus giving a greater connection between R-MC past and present” |

The Young Alumni Association (YAA) consists of young alumni who have graduated in the past ten years. Each alumnus/a, who serves on the Board in the Richmond area, commits to a one-year term. The Richmond YA Board meets a minimum of once per semester.
The members of the 2007 - 2008 Richmond Young Alumni Board include:
The Young Alumni Board's primary focus is to generate ongoing enthusiasm and support for Randolph-Macon College for alumni who graduated within the last ten years. The YAB also organizes and sponsors activities which allow Richmond area Young Alumni and other Young Alumni the opportunity to get together for both networking, social, educational and community service purposes.
The YAA program offers a series of educational workshops for recent grads planning to purchase their first home, looking for financial planning advice and more. In addition, the Richmond Chapter sponsors several senior events including the Senior Welcome in the Fall and Real Life 101 in the Spring.
Each committee member is asked to attend at least three activities such as the Homecoming Party, Senior Welcome, Educational Events or any other alumni networking events. We also educate the young alumni about the importance of the Annual Fund and encourage members to support the College. As you can see we are an active group! Our meetings are great ways to get to know many alumni whom you probably didn't know well while attending Randolph-Macon.
Our meetings involve the planning of various activities as well as updates from the Coordinator of Young Alumni and Student/Alumni Programs and an Annual Fund Giving Officer about what is happening on campus and with other alumni groups.
Please contact Andrew Price '04, the YAB Chair, if you are interested in joining the Young Alumni Board or participating in the R-MC Young Alumni Association.
