Washington, D.C. Young Alumni Social ~ On Thursday, April 3rd, R-MC Young Alumni from the Washington, D.C. area gathered together at the Penn Quarter Sports Tavern for a social. The event was a success and we look forward to having more events in the D.C. area in the near future.
Richmond Real Estate Educational Event ~ On Wednesday, March 26th at Bottoms Up on Nuckols Road, four Randolph-Macon Alumni Real Estate experts shared their knowledge on the housing market with R-MC Young Alumni. The program consisted of a short talk by panelists Nate Smith '95, Andy Johnson '93, Graham Rashkind '96 and Kevin Currie '01 along with a question and answer session.
Richmond Renegades Game ~ On Friday, March 14th at the Richmond Coliseum, Randolph-Macon Young Alumni watched the Richmond Renegades take on the Knoxville Ice Bears. The Renegades lost in overtime, 3-2 but the Young Alumni had a wonderful night, including two of our own (Will Ariail '06 and Richie Oliver '07) performing in the first intermission show!
Randolph-Macon/Hampden-Sydney Pre-Game Party ~ On Friday, Jan. 18th at BlackFinn Restraunt, Young Alumni from R-MC and H-SC gathered to celebrate the first rivalry basketball game of the season, to be held in Farmville on Saturday, January 19th.
Randolph-Macon and Hampden-Sydney Mixer ~ On Thursday, Nov. 8th at BlackFinn Restaurant from 6:00-9:00pm, the R-MC Young Alumni Board co-hosted a social with the Richmond H-SC Alumni to gear up for the rivalry football game. The rival young alumni mingled over hor d'ourves and drinks while competing against each other to see who could raise the most money. Randolph-Macon came away victorious, raising over $200.




On Wednesday, Oct. 24th, the Young Alumni Board sponsored a Personal Finance Educational Event at Bottoms Up on Nuckols Road from 6:30-8:30pm. Twenty young alumni joined panelists Kevin Seay '03, Ashly Adams '06, Ryan Andrew '02 and Buck Poropatich '05 to learn more about how to invest, save for retirement and other personal needs. Chip McNamara '98 and Michelle Orton '06 won books on Personal Finance.
On Friday, Oct. 5, 2007, about 30 Young Alumni joined over 600 members of the R-MC community for a celebration gala titled "A Toast to Randolph-Macon College". At this event, over $11 million in gifts was announced to the College, making it the largest one-time gift announcement in the history of Randolph-Macon.
The Young Alumni Homecoming Reunion was held on Thursday, October 4th from 6-9 pm at BlackFinn Restaurant. Over 60 Young Alumni attended the successful event.
R-MC Night at the Diamond a Success! The Young Alumni Board sponsored R-MC Night at the Diamond on Aug. 30. Over 50 young alumni joined us at the Diamond for baseball, beverages and bonding with fellow R-MC graduates!
