Dear Class of 1988,
Can you believe it’s been 20 years? We have been asked to serve on the Reunion Planning and Gift Committees, so you can expect to hear from us throughout the next few months with letters and e-mails about our upcoming reunion!
We hope that you received the Save the Date postcard. If you did not please mark your calendar for October 23-26, 2008! The planning committee is hard at work making sure that our reunion weekend is full of events that everyone will enjoy. Festivities begin Thursday night, October 23rd with a performance by the Capitol Steps in Crenshaw Gym. On Friday night, our class will be invited to attend the annual R-MC black-tie Celebration gala. On Saturday, we will have a reserved area for tailgating and, following the football game, everyone is invited to the first annual R-MC Oyster Roast. We will be pitching a tent for our class reunion at the Oyster Roast. Sunday there will be a church service at Duncan Memorial.
As you can see, the weekend promises to be a memorable event. So, make sure to log onto the alumni website, http://www.rmc.edu/Alumni/reunions.aspx where we will continue to post updates about the weekend. If you would like to send pictures to be posted on the website, please send them to Mary Harvard Nolde at mhnolde@rmc.edu or by mail.
Our Reunion Committee is also working on making our reunion gift a success. We are sure you are wondering, what is our reunion class gift? Quite simply it is every contribution members of our class make to the College from July 1, 2007 until we celebrate our
reunion weekend, October 23-26. Some of you have actually already participated – thank you!
Please note that a gift of any size to any area of the College will count toward our class gift. It is the our committee’s hope that
25 % of our classmates participate in honor of our reunion.
The committee will update everyone monthly via our class website with our progress and will recognize you by posting your name on the honor roll on-line. We hope that you will consider making a commitment to our class gift either on our website or by using the pledge card enclosed.
