Alumni Receive Yellow Jacket Salute
Randolph-Macon College’s Society of Alumni honored the 90s Initiative Steering Committee, led by Graham Rashkind ’96, chair, and Ainslie Rose ’96, vice chair, with a Yellow Jacket Salute during the annual Homecoming Awards Luncheon on Friday, October 14, 2011. Robert Lambeth ’71 presented the Yellow Jacket Salute.
The 90s Initiative Steering Committee, an alumni-led volunteer group that works to increase the involvement of alumni who graduated in the 1990s, has been chosen for this distinguished award because of their dedicated service on behalf of Randolph-Macon College, which resulted in an amazing 6 percent increase in giving participation among 1990s alumni during fiscal year 2011. The success of the 90s Initiative was also a key contributing factor in the overall increase in alumni participation this year to 37 percent, an 18-year high.
During the past two years these alumni have given their time and resources to increase support for Randolph-Macon among 1990s alumni. They have planned successful events, large and small. They have worked tirelessly to advise and assist the Office of Annual Giving and Alumni Relations in its work to reach out to and engage alumni. They have been, in every way, advocates for the success of Randolph-Macon. 90s Initiative Steering Committee, we salute you!
