International Admission Requirements

Randolph-Macon College requires that all international students meet certain basic requirements before they are admitted into the college. Below is a list of these requirements. However, we understand that not all school systems in other countries are the same as the U.S. school system. Please feel free to contact us if you any questions about any of these requirements and how they relate to your educational background.

Admission Requirements:

• Graduation from a secondary school that has a strong academic record
• If transferring to Randolph-Macon from another college, record of college course work
• Proficiency in written and spoken English
• For non-native English speakers, TOEFL exam scores equal to or greater than:
  • Paper - 550
  • Computer - 213
  • Internet-based test - 80

  How to Apply/Required Documents

  When applying to Randolph-Macon, there are specific forms that applicants must complete and submit by the application deadline. Please contact us if you have any questions about the application procedure or the required documents.

  • Application Form - you-ll need to complete and submit an application form by the application deadline. You may submit an online application [link to online application], paper application, [link to paper application] or Common Application [link to common application]. The $30 application fee is waived for online applications. This application includes a written essay.
  • Submit the Application - If you are submitting a paper application, mail your completed application form along with a non-refundable $30 application fee to:

  • Guarantor's Statement - submit a completed a notarized guarantor's statement indicating your ability to finance a Randolph-Macon education. Note: Once we receive your guarantor's statement, we will release the I-20 document, which will allow you to obtain an F-1 student visa.
  • Official Transcripts - your transcript should describe the secondary or collegiate courses you have taken as well as the grades earned in those courses
  • Copies of academic documents, such as diplomas certificates and/or exams (i.e.: GCE 'O' Level or 'A' Level results, HKCEE, HKALE, National Entrance Exam, or SAECE)
  • TOEFL score results, for non-native English speakers
  • SAT exam scores, if applicable
  • Letter or recommendation from a teacher or counselor
  • Certified Translations of official documents
• Submission of transcripts, statements of course grades, and any certificates earned
• SAT score (recommended for international students, but not required)
