When you first visit our
R-MC StudioAbroad website, you
will be able to search for and read about semester abroad programs available to
With a few clicks you can create a Student Profile,
which allows you to save the programs you find most intriguing.
When you are ready to take the next step, start an
Advising Application by clicking on the "Apply Now" button found
on every program description. From there you will be directed to fill out a questionnaire,
schedule an advising appointment with our Study Abroad Advisor, Tammi Reichel [firstname.lastname@example.org],
and submit an unofficial transcript. The advising questionnaire must be filled out
in StudioAbroad before your scheduled advising appointment.
Once you have met with the Study Abroad Advisor and narrowed down the list of programs
you are interested in, you are ready to begin the
Internal Application. In other words, you are applying to R-MC’s
Office of International Education; only after you are approved and officially nominated
to participate in a semester abroad do you apply to specific programs or host universities.
You will need to submit the following materials, most of them online.
A brief statement of your goals and a reflection response
2 academic recommendations
A language proficiency report (if taking courses taught in a language other than
Judicial affairs form
Once those have been submitted and reviewed, you may be invited to an appointment
with Office of International Education staff to discuss your plans and goals. If
your application is approved and you are Nominated
by the OIE to pursue your study abroad plans, the non-refundable
study abroad application fee of $390 is due at that time.
The next step in the process is to apply to the program provider or university abroad
that you wish to attend (the External Application).
This is different for each program. You will receive detailed information after
you have been nominated by the Office of International Education.
Deadlines : R-MC can accept a limited number of students for semester abroad
programs; therefore it is essential that all materials be submitted before the deadlines
in order for your application to receive full consideration.
Applications for Spring 2015 have closed.
Applications for Fall 2015 will be accepted until November, 2014.
