The OIE is pleased to announce that we have launched an online application process beginning with applications for study abroad in Fall 2013. When you first visit our new R-MC StudioAbroad website, you will be able to search or browse various programs available to you. The next step will be to create a Student Profile giving us some basic information about yourself, and personal advising with our Study Abroad Advisor, Tammi Reichel [firstname.lastname@example.org] is of course still available.
Once you have narrowed down the list of programs you are interested in and are ready to begin the application process, you will need to submit the following materials, most of them online.
Once those have been submitted and reviewed, you will be invited to an appointment with OIE staff to discuss your specific plans and goals. If your application is approved and you are nominated by the Office of International Education to pursue your study abroad plans, the non-refundable study abroad application fee of $400 is due at that time.
The next phase of the process is to apply directly to the program provider or university abroad that you wish to attend (the External Application). This is different for each program. More information will be available on our website and also from the Office of International Education.
Deadlines: R-MC can accept a limited number of students for semester abroad programs; therefore it is essential that all materials be submitted before the deadlines in order for your application to receive full consideration.
