The Ewe people are located in South Eastern Ghana and south east of the Volta Lake. They also occupy regions outside of Ghana such as the southern half of Togo and Benin. The Ewe makes up 13% (1,615,700) of the population in Ghana. In addition to speaking Ewe, other dialects the Ewe speaks include English, Anglo, Awana, Hubu, and Kolafoa.
