Romance Languages
The Department of Romance Languages at Randolph-Macon College offers courses leading to a major in French and/or Spanish language, civilization and literature. The Department's teaching staff boasts a wide variety of individual teaching skills, professional interests, and valuable travel experiences. Moreover, these instructors take great care to ensure that the Department's courses are taught in ways that engage students at many levels so that they will become proficient in listening skills, speaking, reading, and writing in their target languages.

French and Spanish courses at R-MC are designed to provide opportunities for using the language creatively in a variety of modes and settings. Classroom work is supplemented by language halls, a modern language lab, a continually expanding library of language-learning computer software and on-line learning activities, film series, guest speakers and language club activities.
