courses in French civilization, French conversation, French
literature of the 17th and 20th centuries, and the Western
European fairy tale. Author of The Tower and theWell:
A Psychological Interpretation of the Fairy Tales of Mme
d'Aulnoy. Some of her most recent publications include
From Glass Slipper to Glass Ceiling, or 'Cinderella', the
Endurance of a Fairy Tale in Merveilles et Contes.
Her research interests focus on psychological criticism
in film and literature and the 17th-century French fairy
tale.
