The purpose of an academic internship is to provide you with a meaningful educational experience in a real work environment where you'll have the opportunity to examine a possible career path at close range. You also can demonstrate your potential to the sponsoring organization for later recommendations or future employment.
You'll earn academic credit (3 hours) and a grade by conducting this non-paid internship through a Randolph-Macon course. These placements are coordinated through academic departments and can be local to the College or arranged at other locations.
