This program is intended to nurture the sense of call to ministry in qualified students who are Bailey Scholars. As a scholar, you must complete two internships: an academic internship and the longer A. Purnell Bailey pre-professional internship.
The academic internship is intended for scholars in their third year of study and can occur in any term. Visit Academic Internships at the College for more information.
The A. Purnell Bailey pre-professional internship provides practical experience within the ministry. Scholars generally complete this internship during the summer before their senior year, but the particular setting may demand completion during senior year. This program requires 300 on-site hours of experience for which you would be compensated with a stipend. For more details, go to Wages and Compensation.
Both internships require coordination from the ministerial vocational coordinator and the director of the Bassett Internship Program.
Please direct inquiries to the Director of the Bassett Internship Program.
