Internship Information--Faculty & Staff
Students can choose from five types of internship opportunities at over 1,000 sites in more than 20 states, Washington, DC and 12 foreign countries. The Bassett Internship Program teams with the Center for Career and Counseling Services to find just the right experience for them and to match your needs with their interests and skills.
Academic Internship: Students earn academic credit (3 hours) and a grade through a Randolph-Macon course that takes them into the workplace. These non-paid placements are coordinated through academic departments.
Pre-Professional Internship: As rising juniors or seniors, students participate in a career-driven paid internship with access to highly competitive opportunities offered by both large and small corporations.
A. Purnell Bailey Pre-Ministerial Program for Ordained Ministry: Bailey Scholars who are seniors at Randolph-Macon can gain exposure to the ministry. A stipend is offered to participants.
Public Service and Non-profit Internship: Students gain experience in the public service and non-profit sectors through a paid 10-week summer internship with companies like Goodwill of Central Virginia and Hanover Safe Place.
Disney College Program: Those who want to live, learn, and earn their way through a memorable and valuable experience, spend a semester at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. in a paid internship through the Disney College Program.
