Each of the following conditions must be met in order to receive academic credit for an Internship.
- You must have completed 48 semester hours of college work at the time of participation in an internship.
- You must have at least a 2.25 cumulative grade point average (GPA) at the time of application for an internship and during the term in which the internship is performed. (Please note: some academic departments may have higher minimum GPAs.)
- You must have approval from the chair of the academic department sponsoring the internship.
- You may file your application only during the term immediately preceding the term in which you are planning your internship.
- Your application must be received by the Registrar's Office no later than the deadlines below. Application forms are available at the Registrar's Office or from the Bassett Internship director.

- As an academic intern you may not receive a salary or wages as compensation for your work as an intern.
- You must be enrolled concurrently in an internship course to receive academic credit for the internship.
ACADEMIC CREDIT WILL NOT BE AWARDED RETROACTIVELY FOR INTERNSHIPS.
