Intermediate German: 211-212
Readings in German prose and poetry. Review of German structure
and syntax. Emphasis on enlarging vocabulary, refining grammatical
facility, and introducing elementary literary works. Students must
be able by the year's end to handle second-year graded readers without
difficulty. Language laboratory required for a minimum of one hour
per week. Prerequisite: GERM 111-112 or equivalent or placement
by examination. Three hours each semester.
Intensive Intermediate German: 215
An accelerated course which completes intermediate German in one
semester. Designed for advanced students. Offered on demand. Four
hours.
