element in all definitions is that the material is sexually explicit

i. Pornographic = generally viewed as material that violates people's
moral standards
ii. artistic or erotic = sexual materials people find acceptable
c. Pornography vs. obscenity
i. Obscenity: material that has been judged by the courts to have
violated specific statutes pertaining to sexually explicit material
(ie whether the material violates community standards of acceptability
and whether it involves minors)
