The Film Studies Program at Randolph-Macon College is proud bring, for the third time the very popular Open Air Film Festival to its campus. Through collaboration with various programs, departments, and organizations on and off campus, this film festival opts to showcase the work of film directors from around the world.
This year's four-week series will present films from four different countries and begin on September 7, 2012 with an opening reception at 7 pm. The first feature film is Gabriele Salvatores' I'm Not Scared, an Italian film about a young boy who makes a shocking discovery. The film series concludes with a showing of Radu Mihăileanu’s The Source, a film about contemporary Maghreb women who decide to no longer fetch water from a nearby well. All films have English subtitles. The event is free and open to the public. Bring your own chair and we'll provide the popcorn.
